CRANBERRY (Vaccinium macrocarpon) - ORAL
USES: Cranberry has been used for reducing the risk of bladder infections" (urinary tract infections). It has also been used for decreasing the smell of urine in people who are unable to control urination (incontinent). This product should not be used alone to treat bladder infections. It may not work, and the delay could allow the infection to worsen. Some herbal/diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmacist for more details about the brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed this product for safety or effectiveness. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
HOW TO USE: Take this product by mouth as directed. Follow all directions and warnings on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you are taking a chewable form of this product, chew thoroughly before swallowing. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Also, tell your doctor if you have any symptoms of a urinary tract/bladder infection, including fever or burning/painful/frequent urination. You may need medication (e.g., antibiotics) to treat your infection. If you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Stomach upset or diarrhea may occur with very large doses. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor right away if this unlikely but serious side effect occurs: severe stomach/abdominal pain. A very serious allergic reaction to this product is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
